About Job: Purchasing Analyst
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and manage strong relationships with new and existing vendors
- Initiate purchase orders and maintain adequate inventory levels
- Maintain all documents pertaining to per purchase orders for Customs Regulations
- Manage multiple product lines
- Manage vendor pricing
- Negotiate with vendors to obtain better pricing and terms
- Manage Requests for Proposal (RFP) and/or Requests for Quotation (RFQ)
- Help manage strategic projects
- Support Corporate Supply Management Initiatives and Programs
- Work directly with suppliers and Engineering to resolve issues
- Proof all product related marketing materials (flyers, catalogs, email/fax blasts, etc)
- Analyze inventory and sales data
- Provide product support for sales team
- Provide detailed product information to marketing department and sales teams as needed
- Ability to develop and prepare statistical and informational reports related to procurement
- Track shipments while communicating critical changes to sales team
- Manage the drafting of contracts to be completed with details when working with new vendors
- Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (at least 2 years of business experience)
- Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills including MS Office (specifically Microsoft Excel), CRM and SRM
- Strong communication and organizational skills, be able to prioritize tasks, and ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines
- Purchasing/Inventory experience a plus
